Organiza and its worship app, Banda, are free tools from Digital Church, a volunteer-run, nonprofit project. Their code is open source (MIT license). By creating a church account, you accept these terms on behalf of your church.
Who it's for
For churches and ministries that want to organize their people and serving teams. Each person signs in with their own account and only sees what their church allows.
Each church's responsibilities
- Its people's data: store only what's needed, with their permission, and protect it as described in the privacy notice.
- Who has access: grant and remove access on time, especially pastoral permission.
- What its team writes or uploads: notes, songs, photos and so on.
- Download its backup regularly.
Songs and copyright
Banda doesn't come with copyrighted songs. The lyrics and chords a church stores are typed or pasted by its own team.
Many songs are copyrighted. To store, project, print or share them, the church needs the appropriate license (for example, CCLI). When turning on Banda or the Proyecta cloud backup, the church confirms this is its responsibility. Digital Church doesn't review or report song usage; Banda only offers a usage list so the church can fill in its own report.
If a song's rights holder gives us a valid reason to remove it from a church, we may do so and will notify that church.
Proper use
Don't use Organiza or Banda to send messages people didn't ask for, harass anyone, store illegal content, try to see another church's data or overload the service. If someone does, we may suspend their access.
A free service, as is
We do our best to keep it working well and your data safe, but the service is provided as is, without warranties. There may be failures or interruptions. Digital Church isn't liable for damages or losses resulting from its use; that's why we ask you to download your backup regularly.
Changes and accounts
The tools may change and improve. If the service were ever going to end, we'll give advance notice so each church can download its data. Your church can delete its account anytime from Settings, and each person can delete their own login account.
These terms are a general basis; each church may review them with its legal advisor according to the laws of its country.
